Privacy Policy — HomeGlow

Last updated: 30 October 2026

HomeGlow ("the app") is a relaxing tile-laying and home renovation game. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data. It is written to match what the software actually does.

No account, no email

HomeGlow has no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your email address, phone number, or real name. The only name the app asks for is an optional nickname for friend challenges (see below); it does not have to be your real name.

When you first open the app it creates a random player identifier that is stored only on your device. It is not derived from your device, your phone number, or any advertising ID, and on its own it does not identify you. If you uninstall the app, the identifier is lost and a new one is created on reinstall. On Android it is not included in device backups; on iOS it may be included in your device's own iCloud or computer backup, like other app settings.

Your progress

Your stars, coins, boosters, rooms, homes, collection, and settings are stored only on your device. We do not keep a copy of your save, and there is no account to move progress to another device.

Usage data

To understand how the game is played and improve it, the app sends gameplay events to our server: for example, a room started or finished, a piece placed, a booster used, a chest opened, a daily streak updated, an ad shown, or an app update installed. Each event carries your random player identifier, a random session identifier, and technical context: app version, platform, operating system version, device model, language, and the country of your app store. Events never include your name, email, contacts, location, or advertising identifier. If you are offline, events wait on your device and are sent later.

Leaderboards

When you finish the Room of the Day or a weekly event room, your score, the board and period it belongs to, and your random player identifier are sent to our server so we can show where you rank among other players. Your nickname is not sent with leaderboard scores.

Friend challenges (optional)

When you challenge a friend, the app asks our server for a short code and link (homeglow.sentovex.app/m/…). The server stores the room, your score, the nickname you entered, the room type and your game language under that code, so anyone with the link can open the challenge and see a preview card with your nickname and score. Your random player identifier is stored with it too, so that you can see your friends' results later; it is never shown to anyone else. If you do not want your nickname shared, leave it blank.

When you play a friend's challenge, your result (score, the nickname you entered, and the time) is sent to our server with your random player identifier. Your friend sees your nickname and score; the identifier is used only so each player can answer a challenge once.

Invite links. When you open a challenge link, our server receives the code in the link. If you did not have the app yet, the app looks for that challenge once, the first time it is opened after installing: on Android through Google Play's install referrer, and on iOS by checking your clipboard. On iOS the app first checks, without reading it, whether the clipboard holds a web link; only if it does is the clipboard read (iOS may ask you to allow the paste), and the text is used only if it is a HomeGlow challenge link. Nothing from the clipboard is stored or sent anywhere.

App updates (from version 1.0.4)

The app can download small fixes (game code and images, digitally signed) from our update server at ota-homeglow.sentovex.app, without a store update. To find the right update it sends the app version, platform, update channel, and the identifier of the update it is running. It also reports how updates go: at most once a day that the app started with a given update, and when an update is downloaded, installed, rolled back, or fails (with technical error details). These reports carry a random identifier that the update component creates on your device. It is separate from your player identifier, is not included in device backups, and is used only to count devices and to roll updates out gradually. The server runs on Cloudflare's network; like any web host it handles your IP address to carry the connection, and we do not store it.

Advertising

HomeGlow shows ads through Google AdMob to support free play: a banner in menus, occasional full-screen ads between rooms, and rewarded ads you can choose to watch for in-game rewards. Before requesting any ads, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form (required in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland) and, on iOS 14 and later, asks for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you decline, you can still see ads, but they are not personalized. Ad personalization and measurement, including your device's advertising identifier, are handled directly between your device and Google under Google's privacy policy; we do not receive or store your advertising identifier.

AdMob may fill an ad slot with an ad from a partner network that competes for it. Today that partner is Unity Ads: when it does, the Unity Ads SDK in the app receives the same kind of device and ad-interaction data an ad network needs to show and measure an ad, subject to the same consent and tracking choices above, under Unity's privacy policy.

Like any service that delivers content over the internet, Google and Unity receive your device's IP address when they serve an ad, and may use it to estimate your approximate location (for example, city or region) for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. The app itself never requests your device's location.

Purchases

HomeGlow offers one optional in-app purchase, the Master Pack (it removes banner and between-room ads and adds an exclusive palette, pattern and boosters). Coins in the game are earned by playing and cannot be bought or exchanged for money.

Purchases are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, depending on where you installed the app. We never see or receive your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID / Google account details. We use Adapty to manage purchase state: Adapty receives the store's purchase receipt, the product you bought, and your random player identifier (as a customer reference, so your purchase is recognized when you restore it), and tells the app whether the Master Pack is active. Collection of your advertising identifier and IP address is switched off in Adapty's SDK.

Where your data is processed

Our server functions (usage events, leaderboards, friend challenges, and game settings) run on Supabase infrastructure in the United States (us-west-2). Challenge links and the update server run on Cloudflare's network (Cloudflare Workers). Our functions do not store your IP address; the hosting providers may keep it briefly in their operational logs. Purchase state is managed by Adapty. Ads are served by Google AdMob and its partner network Unity Ads.

Children

HomeGlow is a general-audience game and is not specifically directed to children. We do not ask for or knowingly collect a name, email address, or other personal identifier from anyone. If you believe a child's data should be removed, contact us at the address below.
